Sharpdevelop for .net 3.5

Hello,

I would like to use sharpdevelop without .net 4 installed on my machine.

Is it possible?  

When I install sharpdevelop 4.3 I get the following error: "To run this application, you first must install the following versions of .NET framework: v4.0.

When I install sharpdevelop 3.2 I can create new projects based on .net 3.5 but I cannot open projects that were created in sharpdevelop 4.3: "Can't read Microsoft Solution file format 11.00."

Any ideas?
