Watch J.J. Abrams And Simon Pegg Talk About Star Wars

Watch Iron Man 3 Online Though Marvel Studios, in partnership with Disney, is setting up a seriously impressive cinematic universe, there are some major hurdles on the way to getting the giant superhero team-ups that fans might dream of. Before Marvel started producing their own films, they sold the rights to their characters to various studios, some of whom spun out their own huge franchises-- Sony and Spider-Man, Fox and X-Men plus The Fantastic Four-- and some of whom suffered disappointing flops. Those flops make it easier for Marvel Studios to now start rounding the gang back together again, and just a few days after confirming they'd gotten back the rights to Daredevil, they've brought two more back into the fold. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed to Entertainment Weekly, as part of a giant article on Marvel's Phase Two, that both Ghost Rider and Blade are now owned by Marvel Studios. But don't necessarily assume that means you'll be seeing new movies about them immediately:

Watch Pain And Gain Online They all have potential, but we’re not going to say ‘We got it back – make it.’ Iron Man 3, already a huge hit overseas, is preparing its American takeover this weekend. Technically you have to wait until Monday to know if a movie is a hit or not, but Disney executives are already sorting their cash into giant piles and picking out yachts to buy, because Iron Man 3 has been open in the United States for about 12 hours and is already a huge hit all over again.According to the early numbers at Variety, the threequel made $15.6 million from Thursday evening and midnight screenings, with estimates putting it at between $160-$180 million for the weekend-- and that's just domestically. By the time Monday rolls around the movie will likely have made more than $500 million worldwide, putting it pretty damn close to the $585 million Iron Man made worldwide in 2008… but in just 2 weeks in theaters.

Watch Oblivion Online Lucky for everyone, Iron Man 3 is just as good as it is huge, with writer/director Shane Black pulling off the near-miraculous task of following up The Avengers with a standalone movie that really works. We're having a ball discussing the movie with spoilers over here, and for the box office-obsessed among you, you can try and predict where Iron Man 3 will fall on this chart, where we compare superhero movies' box office performance to their reviews. At 78% Rotten Tomatoes score it's falling right in line with Thor and Captain America among critics, but if this trend keeps up, its box office will be bigger than anything besides The Avengers.

Watch Spring Breakers Online We'll have a full box office report to you on Sunday. In the meantime, let us know what kind of crowds you've seen at Iron Man 3 showings in the comments below. Ghost Rider, a character previously owned by Sony, got his own sequel just last year with the widely loathed Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, a follow-up to the not-especially-beloved original Ghost Rider. With few fans clamoring for them to continue the franchise and a much more lucrative Spider-Man series to focus on, you can see why Sony was willing to let it go. The Blade series has been dormant for a while now, since 2004's Blade: Trinity, and the rights were owned by New Line, the subsidiary of Warner Bros. that's faced major financial woes recently. You can't blame them for letting it go either.

Watch Evil Dead Online Now we have to see how Marvel might revive either character, though take Feige's warning seriously-- their plans for Phase Two are already incredibly busy, and you probably have to wait until Ant-Man finally emerges for hard details on anything on Ghost Rider and Blade. But fans of the characters, rejoice! You're way more likely to see them again on screen now that they've back in the Marvel family. Jack Reacher is undoubtedly a movie about a man who works solo, a man who solves cases, and a man who is a bit of a loner. However, secondary to the plot is Reacher’s partner in crime, a defense lawyer named Helen who has a tempestuous relationship with her DA father, resulting from years of distrust and fighting for the other side. Now, Paramount Home Entertainment has extended us an exclusive Blu-ray bonus clip that looks into the relationship portrayed by Rosamund Pike and Richard Jenkins in the film. Reacher’ s a little lacking in the emotional department and its nice to get a few father-daughter moments between Pike’s Helen and Jenkins.

WATCH A Good Day To Die Hard ONLINE Rodin, because even if the two don’t get along, the audience can see how invested they are in each other. That butting of heads with a caring component certainly adds to the watchability of the film and in the clip it's nice to see how the actors felt about their characters and how they were able to bring that strained but precariously balanced relationship to the table. If you haven’t been able to catch the thriller, Jack Reacher is hitting Blu-ray and DVD next Tuesday, May 7, following an early digital release on April 23. Blu-ray copies will offer several bonus features, including audio commentary from Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie, a “Combat and Weapons” featurette, and more. You can check out the full list of bonus features in our earlier post. With a sequel potentially coming our way, the flick may be one worth checking out, and you can obtain the flick digitally, or pre-order it on Amazon right now.

WATCH Warm Bodies ONLINE When you see Iron Man 3 this weekend, you may experience some deja vu. Not because the movie repeats what you've seen in other Iron Man movies-- it's refreshingly original, actually-- but because nearly every major scene in the movie has been at least hinted at in the marketing. From the fleet of Iron Man suits flying in to save the day (as seen in the poster) to Iron Man and the Iron Patriot rescuing a bunch of people from a crashing plane (shown off in this clip), even the scenes that come later in the movie are being teased for audiences. People have been grumbling since trailers were invented that they gave away too much, but have they gotten worse lately?

WATCH Oz The Great And Powerful ONLINE According to half of American moviegoers, yeah. A survey taken on April 26 by YouGov Omnibus, cited by The Hollywood Reporter, says 49% of Americans think trailers give away too much of the movie. On the other hand, only 19% of them said it made them less likely to see the movie, while 24% of them said it made them want to see the film more. That's clearly the logic used by Disney in marketing Iron Man 3, where shots from the film's big climactic scene have made up the core of the marketing, and we've been shown an elaborate action scene-- the destruction of Tony Stark's Malibu mansion-- from nearly every angle in the TV spots. But, as you can discuss in our spoilers post, there are a lot of surprises in Iron Man 3 that weren't revealed in the marketing at all-- and the moments land a lot better because you don't know they're coming.Sure, it's nothing compare to the Iron Man suit that's crash-landed in his garage. But Harley Keener (Ty Simpkins) is definitely a Tony Stark-in-training, and that potato gun-- which seems to be built out of the tubes.

Watch 42 Online You'd use to create a maze for your hamsters-- is impressive stuff, especially when Tony steals the design for one of his own homemade gadgets later on. I thought about this a lot when seeing Star Trek Into Darkness, which has been operating under a veil of secrecy about its plot (and which I reviewed, spoiler-free, here). There's a lot to learn in the film about Benedict Cumberbatch's villainous John Harrison and what motivates Kirk to go after him, but many of the film's biggest moments-- the attack on San Francisco, the Enterprise going into free fall, Spock chasing Harrison through city streets-- are teased in the trailers. Sure you don't know the context, but you can feel the film building up the moments you know will already happen, which takes away a good deal of the suspense. I want people to have every reason to see Star Trek Into Darkness-- it's a good movie that everyone should see. But several times when watching the movie I wished I knew a whole lot less about where it was heading.

Let us know your own thoughts about marketing in the comments, and if you're planning to see Star Trek Into Darkness-- or Iron Man 3, for that matter-- do yourself a favor, and just shut off the marketing until you can see the whole thing. Tony Stark has made a career out of making the rest of us jealous. Sure, in Iron Man 3 he's suffering a bit more than usual, experiencing PTSD after the battle of New York seen in The Avengers and up against a terrifying foe in The Mandarin, who responds to threats by blowing up Tony's cliffside Malibu manor. But as Tony says himself in one of the film's trailers, "I'm Tony Stark. I build neat stuff, I've got a great girl, and occasionally I save the world."
